East Valley Partnership
In 1980, The Wall Street Journal described the East Valley of metropolitan Phoenix as one of the most vibrant growth centers in the United States with extremely high residential and market potential. For many years, the East Valley stood in the shadow of the superior political clout of Phoenix. At a time when critical decisions were being made on transportation, health care and social services, leaders from the East Valley met to establish an effective coalition to advance the needs and interests of the combined East Valley cities.

Out of 186 cities studied for 2018, the valley claimed 4 of the top-5 best places in America to find a job. Two of the top-5 cities are in the East Valley.

Meet the speakers
Information presented here is what every property owner, apartment owner/manager, commercial and residential developer and all real estate agents working in the area will need to know.
Linda has over 22 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience, primarily in the multi-family area. She was the owner/broker of Marlin Commercial Realty for 20 years, and joined KLCG in January, 2010. Her expertise covers all phases of the apartment industry, having owned and managed several of her own properties. Linda realizes this is a “people business” and that relationships make successful transactions. She is involved in a transaction from beginning to end, covering the economic analysis, marketing, due diligence, and financing. She is comfortable working with Sellers, Buyers and Lenders. She was formerly a commercial lender with two financial institutions in Phoenix.
Scott joined the group more than ten years ago, shortly after he and his wife purchased a 42-unit apartment community from KLCG and moved their very successful real estate business from Colorado to metro Phoenix. Scott has consistently been one of the Groups TOP producers, having closed more than $100 million in apartment transactions since 2003. Scott has more than 20 years experience in investing and working with investors to identify and acquire exceptional investment properties. He earned his CCIM designation in 2005 and has a strong aptitude for 1031 tax deferred exchanges.
Scott has owned and operated multiple apartment communities – giving him strong knowledge into how to maximize income and minimize expenses and is happy to share this insight with many apartment owners. Using the same skills, he has also been able to actually “raise the bar” for the highest price obtained for his owner client’s properties by showing a new buyer how a property can perform better than the previous owner.
John is the former Mayor of Gilbert. The East Valley Partnership (EVP) is a regional nonpartisan coalition that actively works to improve the business climate and overall quality of life in East Valley. He will provide the overwhelming support that the East Valley may soon become the fastest growing area in the US and the projected locations of the huge growth areas.
Jaye has served as the Assistant Director for the City of Mesa’s Economic Development since July 2012. Jaye will highlight activities in the established neighborhoods, such as the Fiesta Mall, the recent and planned development in the downtown cores of each of the PHX East Valley cities and define the five PHX East Valley locations projected to have the strongest JOB GROWTH.
He is the former Mayor of Mesa, Arizona (2008-2014) and currently serves as the CEO of Valley Metro. Scott ran for Governor of Arizona in the last election. Scott understands and will define the commercial and residential opportunities being created along the existing and future light rail routes!
