BE PREPARED TO BE AMAZED AND INSPIRED

All of the 170 attendees at our West Valley event, held at Grand Canyon University (GCU) in August (Press Release), were amazed by not only the growth of GCU but what they are doing in a once, over-looked tough area in the West Valley. This casual event will provide more information on each of GCU neighborhood programs.

GCU believes that every high school student deserves the chance to go to college and created the Learning Lounge in 2012. The Learning Lounge is a free, on-campus, after-school tutoring and mentoring program that helps under-performing high school students. As part of the program, GCU also established the Students Inspiring Students Scholarship Program, which awards 100 full-tuition scholarships each year to high school seniors who have sought assistance at the Learning Lounge, and meet academic and eligibility criteria

GCU greatly appreciates the commercial real estate community’s support of their neighborhood programs and will have students and staff that are actively involved in these programs attend the happy hour to share their stories about how they are changing West Valley neighborhoods and many individual’s lives. If you are inspired as we are, we hope you will consider supporting the scholarship program. The story is amazing – please join us.

Elliot Pollack –”But even more incredible is GCU’s $11 billion in overall economic impact in the last 10 years, resulting in tax revenues of $300 million for the state, $85 million for the county, $73 million for Phoenix and $652 million for the federal government.”

Jerry Colangelo – “This is not only one of the great stories in our state — business stories in our state, and educational stories — it’s that way worldwide … That’s how important this effort has been in the accomplishments that have taken place.
